Lisa Edelstein is an American actress, best known for her role on House, a Fox medical series, House. She grew up in Wayne and was raised in a strict Jewish tradition. As a teenager, 18, she emigrated in New York City to study at the Tisch School for the Arts. She quickly became part of the scene of clubs in New York. Her performances were so captivating that the local press noticed. She utilised both her training in music and fame to create and star in a musical of her own, Positive Me. Soon after, she was hired by MTV to host Awake on the Wild Side. When Awake on the Wild Side had stopped being aired, she began acting in films and television, first with brief parts. In time, her experience as an actress increased.
