Dolly Parton escaped the struggles in her early life through her imaginative and creative imagination. Before she learned to read and write, Dolly Parton was creating her own songs. After 8 years of age, she had her very first guitar. At age 11 when she was 11, she began singing on Knoxville Tenn's radio station. Gold Band Records is a small label that is independent. She made a name on the local circuit while in high school but she always dreamed of having a bigger stage. After graduating high school in 1964 she immediately moved to Nashville. Dumb Blonde was her first record to chart for the first time on Monument Records. At about this time Porter Wagoner was looking for a new girl singer for his television show that was syndicated. Parton took the offer in 1967 and signed to RCA Records in 1968 and joined in the Grand Ole Opry in 1969. She left Wagoner's show, however, in 1974 due to her solo albums like Joshua Coat Of Many Colors and Jolene exceeded the sales of their joint albums. Parton's song, I Will Never Love You (for Wagoner), reached the top of the. 1 spot after they split. 1 for the first time in 1974.
